AMD Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 Processor – An Entire Overview of “Best Gaming CPU Series”

A couple of days ago, AMD announced its brand new version of the Ryzen 5000 entire lineup gaming processors for desktops. So we all know, it is the first next-generation Zen – 3 microarchitecture based chips from AMD. On top, AMD claims the 5900X of AMD Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 Processor will be the ” world’s best gaming CPU.” Thus this promise makes high expectations in the field of best gaming performance.

AMD Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 Processor Series | The Fastest Gaming CPUs

The first four Zen-3 featuring CPU of 5000 series, we’re going to get our Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X,  and Ryzen 5 5600X. These gaming processors are coming on 5 November at the price range from $299 to $799.

Let’s glance at the price and the key plus point of four new Ryzen gaming processors.

Ryzen 9 5950X$799Best pick for the highest-powered workstation processor
Ryzen 9 5900X$549Best pick for building powerful rig in gaming
Ryzen 7 5800X$449Best pick for high FPS gaming rig
Ryzen 5 5600X$299Best pick for single thread performance in low cost

The Next Generation Zen 3 Microarchitecture

The full lineup of AMD’s next-generation processors will be powered by Zen 3 microarchitecture, which will allow us to take the 1080p gaming performance lead from intel.  According to AMD’s statement, the 7nm FinFET Zen 3 is 19% faster than Zen 2 to Instruction Per Cycle( IPC).  The Zen 3 architecture may raise higher the price of the processors than last- gen. But as a mid-range, the Ryzen 5 5600 keeps its price stable like its previous generation.

An Overview of Ryzen 5000 Series

Ryzen 9 5950X Desktop Processor

AMD Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 Processor started its series with the Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 CPU core and 32 threads. No wonder it’s multiple – cores would make it capable of doing any task giving excellent performance.  When it talks about the gaming performance ability,  the 5950X has a max boost clock up to 4. 9GHz with a 3.4Ghz base clock. AMD claims it is the fastest chip in any aspect comparing intel 10 Core i9-10900K.

Ryzen 9 5900X Desktop Processor

AMD says, this desktop processor comes with 12 CPU cores, 24 threads, which is the mainstream contender. The 5900X features a 3.7GHz base clock that boosts up to 4.8GHz. In the superb gaming performance, this chip could beat Intel’s Core i9-10900k, according to AMD.  The company also showed the 9 5900X is 28% faster in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and some other games, too, if you compare with Zen 2 architecture. The Twitter leaker TUM_APISAK leaked benchmarks on Geekbench 5 about the Ryzen 9 5900X processors, where the 5900X scores 1605 points and 12869 points respectively, on single and multiple – core benchmarks.

Ryzen 7 5800X Desktop Processor

AMD’s 8 CPU core is specially optimized for high FPS gaming rigs. Its 16 threads boost up to 4.7 GHz, having a base clock of 3.8GHz. The recent CPU Z benchmark in single-core showed the Ryzen 5800X is 11% faster than Core i9- 10900K and 25% faster than Ryzen 7 3800X, which looks impressive.

If the leaked statement is true, that Zen 3 Octa Core Ryzen 7 5800 processor will be the fastest gaming chip. So probably Intel is going to lose its title of being a king in single – threaded processors.

Ryzen 5 5600X Desktop Processor

AMD says the Ryzen 5600X is for those who want to game with its superb 6 CPU cores. It features 12 threads, a max boost clock of up to 4.6GHz, and a base frequency of 3.7GHz. In some leaked PassMark CPU benchmark scores indicates that the Ryzen 5 5600X beats the Core i9- 10900k in single-thread performance with relatively cheaper cost than intel.

AMD Ryzen 5600 Beats the 10900K

In some leaked PassMark CPU benchmark scores indicates the 5600X gained the top score.  Where this mid-range Ryzen 5 5600 is making its sale for $299, the Core i9-10900K is costing $550. So finally AMD is successful to beat Intel with 5 5600X in single threaded benchmark performance at a relatively cheaper cost.
